Bavarian Radish Salad
A Quick and Simple Bavarian Side Dish

1–2 bunches of radishes (Radieschen)
Salt
Pepper
Optional: A splash of heavy whipping cream

Sometimes the simplest dishes are the most satisfying. This quick and easy radish salad comes together with just three ingredients, making it a versatile addition to any meal. Serve it as a refreshing side dish, alongside a Bavarian Brotzeit (a traditional charcuterie board), or on top of a buttered slice of bread (Butterbrot).

Wash the radishes thoroughly and trim the ends.

Using a sharp knife or mandoline, slice the radishes into thin, even rounds.

Place the radish slices in a bowl and sprinkle with salt. Let sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the salt to draw out some moisture and enhance the flavor.

Season with freshly ground pepper to taste.
