Iced Blackberry Matcha Latte
Iced Blackberry Matcha Latte – Your New Favorite Summer Sip
Looking for the ultimate afternoon pick-me-up that’s equal parts refreshing, fruity, and packed with feel-good vibes? Say hello to your new obsession: the Iced Blackberry Matcha Latte. It’s a little earthy, a little sweet, and totally Instagram-worthy – the kind of drink you’ll want to sip on your porch, in the garden, or anywhere the sun hits just right.
Why Blackberry & Matcha?
Matcha brings that smooth, creamy, slightly grassy flavor we love (plus a gentle caffeine boost), while blackberries add a juicy, tart twist that screams summer. Together, they create a layered drink that’s both energizing and soothing — like a walk through a sun-drenched forest with a berry basket in hand.
What You’ll Need for 2 glasses:
1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blackberries
1-2 tbsp agave syrup, honey or maple syrup (optional, depending on your berry sweetness level)
2 g high-quality matcha powder
2 oz hot water (not boiling – under 175°F / 80°C)
1 cup milk of choice (oat, almond, and whole milk all work beautifully)
Ice cubes
How To Make It:
Blend the blackberry base: Mix the blackberries and syrup using a hand blender or mixer until smooth. Strain if you prefer a seed-free texture. Set aside.
Prepare the matcha: Whisk the matcha powder with hot water until frothy. A bamboo whisk is ideal, but a milk frother or blender works too!
Prepare the milk & assemble your drink: Add the matcha shot to the milk and froth until foamy. In a tall glass, layer the blackberry syrup over ice, then pour in your matcha-milk blend.
Alternatively – for the layered look: Skip mixing the matcha into the milk. Instead, pour the frothed milk over the iced blackberry base and gently top with the matcha. Let those layers shine!
Sip & Chill
This drink is more than a treat — it’s a little moment of self-care in a glass. Whether you’re working from home or just chasing a toddler around the backyard, an iced blackberry matcha latte is the break you didn’t know you needed.
